Ministry of External Affairs(MEA) on Thursday said that it will examine the implications of a new defence pact signed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.The MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told reporters that New Delhi had long been aware of the proposed agreement, which formalises an existing arrangement between the two countries. He said the government would assess its impact on India’s national security as well as its consequences for regional and global stability. “The government remains committed to protecting India’s national interests and ensuring comprehensive security in all domains,” Jaiswal further said.
