President Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) from the post of Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, according to an official communiqué issued on Monday. In a series of new appointments, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been named the Governor of Haryana, Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju will serve as the Governor of Goa, and former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has been appointed the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. The appointments will come into effect from the dates the individuals assume charge of their respective offices, the notification added. These changes reflect the latest reshuffle in gubernatorial roles across Indian states and union territories.
