The Punjab Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, paid tribute to the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir. The Cabinet observed two minutes of silence to honour those killed in the attack, which targeted innocent civilians. The Cabinet described the incident as a “barbaric and inhuman act” and expressed deep anguish over the loss of lives. In an official statement, the Cabinet said the attack had “bruised the psyche of every Indian” and should be condemned by all, regardless of religion, region or nationality.
“This was a heinous crime against humanity. No religion permits such violence,” the Punjab Cabinet said. The Punjab government said the attackers had no allegiance to any faith, and their sole intention was to spread fear among the public.
