unjab’s AAP state president and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora on Saturday urged political parties, social and religious organizations, and NGOs to join forces with the Punjab government in its mission to make the state drug-free. Speaking after a high-level meeting of the five-member Cabinet Sub-Committee on drug prevention, Arora stressed the collective responsibility of Punjab’s 3 crore citizens in combating the crisis.
Arora highlighted the state government’s comprehensive 360-degree action plan, focusing on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. He emphasized treating drug users with empathy while dealing harshly with traffickers. “We will not rest until this menace is completely wiped out,” he said, sending a stern warning to drug smugglers.
The minister also called on families to support drug users in seeking treatment at government de-addiction centres, assuring them of state assistance. He expressed confidence in achieving a healthier and vibrant Punjab, aligning with the vision of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
