Ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita congratulated the President-elect at a private reception in Washington. Expressing optimism about deepening India-US ties, the Ambanis conveyed their hopes for a transformative presidency fostering global progress and collaboration, Reliance Industries said in a statement. Trump, set to take the oath of office indoors today due to freezing temperatures, has pledged to govern with “historic speed and strength.” He promised to repeal “every radical, foolish executive order” signed by the Biden administration within hours of assuming office, prioritizing right-wing policies, including cracking down on illegal immigration, lifting the TikTok ban, and reversing measures on transgender rights.
