Additionally, ₹100 crore has been allocated for jail infrastructure upgrades, with a focus on enhanced security and rehabilitation programs. AI-powered CCTV surveillance is being installed in central jails, and V-cams are being expanded in 12 high-security prisons to curb illegal activities.
The minister praised the ‘Rangla Punjab Development Scheme,’ which has been allocated ₹585 crore to support essential infrastructure projects based on citizen recommendations. This funding will be used for road and bridge repairs, installation of street lights, improvement of healthcare and education facilities, and water and sanitation upgrades.
Bhullar emphasized that the budget will accelerate Punjab’s economic growth and introduce reforms that strengthen the foundation of a self-reliant and prosperous state.
